What is the Endymed treatment process?
Using a specially-designed EndyMed’s 3DEEP® RF Facial Tightening handpiece and gel, your therapist will move the instrument across your skin in a uniform circular motion to deliver short pulses of electrical energy which stimulate the skin.
As the handpiece moves, the focused heat will penetrate your skin causing it to warm up – similar to the way it does after a hot shower or bath. This slight reddening effect will encourage the collagen to contract, tighten and lift the skin.
Devised by dermatology and radio frequency experts, EndyMed delivers clinically-proven effective treatments across many different areas of the body – shaping and contouring areas affected by skin sagging or cellulite.
It is particularly effective on delicate, sensitive and hard to treat areas such as the eyes, mouth and décolletage.
Usually, the complete treatment takes between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.

How does Endymed skin tightening work?
As our skin ages, the collagen fibres it contains break down to become less structured and more elasticated. Unfortunately, our bodies also become less efficient at repairing and replacing these fibres.
Exposure to UV rays from the sun and certain lifestyle choices, such as smoking, can make it even harder to prevent skin laxity or sagging. As a result, our skin tissue begins to change and we suffer from more wrinkles.
Endymed non-surgical skin tightening uses electromagnetic energy to penetrate deep into the skin, heating it up to encourage natural collagen cells to be produced, contract and tighten.
In the long term, stimulating our collagen cells with radio frequency waves improves our underlying skin structure for a firmer, tauter and healthier-looking appearance.

How many treatments are required?
At Botatsic, we recommend a minimum of six treatments over the course of 12 weeks for skin tightening, the first four treatments are weekly, treatments five and six should be approximately two weeks apart.

When will I see the results?
For most Botastic patients, the results are apparent a few days after the first treatment as the contraction of the skin’s collagen results in an instant lift.
Although this is a short-term result, repeat treatments will transform this effect into a long-lasting response, as more and more new collagen is produced.
It usually takes around three months before the optimum results are seen, following a full course of recommended treatments.
Some of our regular customers have seen the results last for 12 months or more, but this obviously depends on your skin’s tone, texture and its natural ageing process.

Is it painful?
EndyMed Skin Tightening usually achieves natural, long-lasting results without any pain. Most patients do not need any recovery time either.
For skin tightening, the heat you experience is comparable to a hot stone massage or very hot shower, so you should find the process comfortable and relaxing.
Are there any side effects?
Immediately after treatment, you may experience some skin redness which could last 2-3 days.
Is Endymed safe for all skin types?
The EndyMed 3DEEP radiofrequency treatment can be used by people with all skin types safely because it heats deep in the dermis and does not target the melanin (pigment).
Who is Endymed not suitable for?
As well as pregnant or breastfeeding women, this treatment is not suitable for people with:

Will I need any specialist aftercare?
Due to the non-surgical nature of the procedure, there is no need for specialist creams and you can continue with your regular skincare regime.
Endymed do offer a specialist recovery cream to help soothe and calm your skin, but its use is not essential.
Applying a sun lotion with high UV protection can reduce the long-term effects of photo-ageing. An anti-ageing skincare regime which complements your skin type could also enhance the results Endymed achieves.
